I am a booster for the commons with a specialization in open source, civics, and web technology. I’ve been working in open source for over two decades, starting as a web developer before I moved into program management, marketing, partnership, strategy, and executive roles.
Much of my career has deliberately spanned the entirety of the ecosystem, with a focus on building healthy relationships between downstream users and upstream contributors, such as at Google, Salesforce, and Tidelift. I am best known for my tenure as the President of the Open Source Initiative and first Managing Director of the Matrix.org Foundation.
