Hello! I’m Gavin—it’s great to meet you! o/
I’ve dedicated over 15 years to system engineering, specializing in the Linux kernel and low-level subsystems like CPU architecture, memory management, virtualization, and performance optimization. In recent years, I’ve had the privilege of stepping into leadership and management roles while diving into emerging AI technologies.
Outside of work, fitness has been a lifelong passion. I started with breakdancing in high school and university, transitioned to swimming, and worked as a part-time coach. Over the past two decades, I’ve been involved in competitive powerlifting and coach mentoring in powerlifting training. The quest for strength and performance has brought me constant joy. In my spare time, I received an NSCA CSCS certification.
I also enjoy learning and have used tools like SuperMemo to master knowledge in various fields. Books like “Moonwalking with Einstein” reshaped how I view memory and cognitive psychology, while “The Culture Map” enhanced my understanding of diverse cultures and the communication between people across the world. Recently, Viktor Frankl’s “Man’s Search for Meaning” guided me through the profound grief of losing my beloved, especially the well-said by Nietzsche mentioned in the book: He who has a why to live can bear almost any how.
