April Conference News
April usually signals the start of the first big conference season of the year, and this year is no exception. Igalia will have booths at the following shows:
- Embedded World, April 9–11 at Stand 4-171 (in Hall 4)
- Open Source Summit North America / Embedded Open Source Summit (OSS/EOSS), April 16–18 at Booth E28
In addition to our booth at OSS/EOSS, Igalians will be delivering six talks between the two parts of the show:
- Rakhi Sharma, “A Year of Servo Reboot: Where Are We Now?”, Tuesday, April 16 (OSS)
- Alejandro Piñeiro, “Raspberry Pi 5: Challenges and Solutions in Bringing up an OpenGL/Vulkan Driver for a New GPU”, Tuesday, April 16 (EOSS)
- Changwoo Min, “Optimizing Scheduler for Linux Gaming”, Wednesday, April 17 (OSS)
- Adrián Pérez, “Embedding WPE WebKit - from Bring-up to Maintenance”, Wednesday, April 17 (EOSS)
- Lauro Moura, “Automated Testing for Web-based Systems on Embedded Devices”, Thursday, April 18 (EOSS)
- Mario Sanchez-Prada, “Building End-user Applications on Embedded Devices with WPE”, Thursday, April 18 (EOSS)
We’d love to see you at booth E28, where we’ll be demoing our work on the Steam Deck, WPE WebKit, Servo, Wolvic, and our ongoing GPU driver development for devices such as the Raspberry Pi 5. We’ll have hardware to play with and plenty of good conversation, so please stop by and learn more about Igalia and our work on open source technologies.
And: as a bonus, while in Seattle for OSS/EOSS, Rakhi Sharma will be giving a talk about Servo at the Seattle Rust User Group on Tuesday, April 16, free and open to the public!
Igalians will also be in attendance for:
- Euro LLVM, April 9–11
- NAB Show, April 13–17
- Reboot Develop Blue, April 22–24
- Hannover Messe, April 22–26
We always enjoy talking with people at events, so if you’ll be there for any of the above shows, please take a moment to say hi! And if you have any questions regarding any of our appearances, are interested in having us bring a talk to an upcoming event, or you’d just like to learn more about Igalia, please feel free to reach out.
