Igalia at FOSDEM 2022
The first weekend of February is approaching and, as every year for the past 22 years, many Free and Open Source Software enthusiasts will gather (virtually again due to the ongoing pandemic) at FOSDEM, one of the most important events where they can meet, share their ideas and collaborate. As you can see in the conference floor and schedule, talks are divided into main tracks and devrooms, in addition to several project and community virtual stands. The event will be streamed live from their own website and Matrix rooms will also be available for each of the tracks, devrooms and stands, where you will be able to discuss and ask questions to presenters.
Several Igalians will participate this year as speakers to talk about personal projects or the work they do at Igalia. All times below are in the Europe/Brussels time zone.
- Hyunjun Ko will give us an update on the state of the turnip Vulkan driver from Mesa in the Graphics devroom on Sunday at 12:00.
- Alejandro Piñeiro will provide a status update for the v3dv Vulkan driver from Mesa that’s used in Raspberry Pi 4 computers. Graphics devroom on Sunday at 13:00.
- Ricardo Garcia will talk about the story behind the VK_EXT_border_color_swizzle Vulkan extension that was published last year. Graphics devroom on Sunday at 15:00.
- Daniel Kolesa will introduce his work on Chimera Linux, a BSD/LLVM distribution from scratch in the Distributions devroom on Sunday at 16:15.
